Making memories, one activity at a time.
For over two years, our House was able to meet our mission to serve critically ill children and their families – it just looked a little different. We have been adding activities back into our schedule and there has been no end to the magic they create for our guest families. Here is a brief summary of the fun we’ve had the last few months:
We held a Star Wars night on the rooftop with Fluke Skywalker and Apollo Base/Rebel Legion Costuming Group treated our guests to light sabers. The night was even sweeter with a cotton candy machine.
Families gathered to decorate football cookies and meet Who Dey, our beloved Cincinnati Bengals’ mascot. We ended the evening with a prize drawing for Bengals gear.
Our friends at Miami University’s Wish Upon A Star program brought princesses and superheroes to our House for an ice cream social. Guest patient Ella happened to turn seven that day and all she wanted was a new princess dress. She didn’t expect to debut it with a royal reception!
Have you ever created a birdhouse or painted a rocket ship piggy bank? Our guests have had a chance to do both over the last few months, thanks to our friends at Brasfield & Gorrie Construction and Star Glazers. The rocket ships were a wonderful and touching addition to thank generous donors at our Red Tie Gala!
As the activities continue, we know the precious memories will as well. This is only possible with the help of our community. Take a look at our volunteer activities if you would like to get involved!
