“When we first arrived in Cincinnati, I lived in the hospital with my son. When I checked in to Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House, a load of stress and worry was lifted off my shoulders. We now have a place we can call home!”
Adopting a room means giving critically ill children and their families a place to call “home” while they are far from their own. Their room becomes a safe place where they can rest, unwind, shower, keep their clothes, decorate for holidays and more.

“Thank you for giving us a place to stay, warm meals, rooms to play and the chance to be together as a family during this tough time. Much love from our family. Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati is our ‘home away from home.’”
Adopting a family means giving critically ill children the chance to be together, in a city far from home, for the life-saving medical care they need. The comforts of our House are heightened when families can stay together. For surgery days, inpatient stays and constant appointments, the stress of having a family hundreds of miles apart doesn’t need to be a factor when they can all stay in our House. You can make that possible by supporting our Adopt a Family program.
Recognizing your generosity:
Some families must visit a few times a month for shorter stays, while others stay for weeks, months or even years. We’ll share family stories that show the impact you make each year in the following ways:
